About me
Sean joined the Association’s Teacher Welfare executive staff in 2015 and with the formation of Teacher Employment Services was appointed as Associate Coordinator, Collective Bargaining in August 2020. Sean holds an Advanced Labour Relations Certificate from Queen’s University, a BEd from the University of Alberta, a MEd of Educational Technology from the University of British Columbia and a Graduate Certificate in Catholic School Administration from Newman Theological College. Sean began his teaching career with Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools, where he taught 5 years. He also taught for 17 years with the Greater St Albert Roman Catholic Schools, 5 of those years as a vice-principal.
Sean served as district representative for Edmonton District for 2 years. In addition to acting as a representative of the bargaining agent, Sean is responsible to organize and coordinate the work of the Association with respect to collective agreements and bargaining and acts as the Association’s expert on labour legislation and collective bargaining.
